Every area of life is affected by the Gospel. There is not one topic of discussion, or any activity, that is outside the realm of the Kingdom of God. The Gospel announces that King Jesus is victorious and is moving and growing His Kingdom throughout history. In Him, we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28).
A defeatist eschatology and a generally pessimistic worldview has created a weak and ineffective Church on earth. Not very long ago, it was Christians leading the world-changing and justice-seeking efforts. Today, the Church is barely noticed and Christians are making little effort to change that. This is not what we see in the pages of the New Testament.
Restoring the Foundation of Civilization
There are many Christians who will not participate in civilization-building efforts that include economics, journalism, politics, education, and science because they believe (or have been taught to believe) these areas of thought are outside the realm of what constitutes a Christian worldview. Nothing could be further from the truth.
