All of what American Vision has said would happen if enough Christians abandoned the culture and adopted a two-kingdom approach to the Christian faith has happened. From what I see on Facebook from Christians, we are in deep trouble. Many believe we are in the precipice of an inevitable prophetic end. This type of claim has a very long failed history. We’ll either make the necessary changes to fix what’s wrong or God will let our inaction lead to a forced reset. It will come the easy way (faithfulness) or the hard way (God’s discipline: Heb. 12:10–11).
The following was sent to me when Obama became President:
FYI citizens can now take religious broadcasters to court for causing them mental anguish because of a new law. My attorney says I have a great case against you for causing me and others mental anguish with your false statements about the holocaust and who is to blame for it. He is also filing a complaint with the FCC naming you as a defendant and a pathological liar for this. Our goal is to get you off the air and replaced by another dead preacher, which are pretty much the only preachers that still hold to your worldview. I told you I would take you down and I will. You are scum Gary.

Do you think I’m kidding? Good. I’m glad. There won’t be any religious broadcasting once the Democrats take over. Obama just became an agnostic and now hates religion so much he’s going to help us bring an end to it. Did you hear the clips of him mocking passages in Deuteronomy and Leviticus? The party’s over loser. You’re all going down for your crimes against humanity.
Obviously, this mocker was blowing smoke. No such thing happened. It does not mean, however, that there won’t be attempts to shut down Christians. It’s happening in Scotland and Ireland in terms of “hate speech,” including what’s set in private settings like homes. The government would define what’s hate speech. Actually, it would be special interest groups like Muslims and the LGBTQI+ lobbying organizations.
It’s not so much coming from the government at the moment in the United States but by social media platforms and companies who have bought into Black Lives Matter propaganda, homosexual, transgender, expansive gender categories, and forced diversity requirements for company boards, and racial preferences for professional degrees like medical schools.
Secularists who write their screeds against Christians and engage in politics have history on their side, and it’s not a very good history. Churches in Nazi Germany were “confined as far as possible to the performance of narrowly religious functions, and even within this narrow sphere were subjected to as many hindrances as the Nazis dared to impose.” This is the evaluation of a 1945 report published by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the precursor to the CIA. It was called The Nazi Master Plan: The Persecution of the Christian Churches and was prepared for the War Crimes Staff. It offered the following summary: “This study describes, with illustrative factual evidence, Nazi purposes, policies and methods of persecuting the Christian Churches in Germany and occupied Europe.”
Where did the strategic plan begin? “Implementation of this objective started with the curtailment of religious instruction in the primary and secondary schools with the squeezing of the religious periods into inconvenient hours, with Nazi propaganda among the teachers in order to induce them to refuse the teaching of religion, with vetoing of … religious text books, and finally with substituting Nazi Weltanschauung [world-and-life view] and ‘German faith’ for Christian religious denominational instruction…. At the time of the outbreak of the war … religious instruction had practically disappeared from Germany’s primary schools.”
Does any of this sound familiar? This is a textbook description of our nation’s public schools with the only difference being that a materialistic world-and-life view and “secular” faith have replaced the once Christian worldview that served as the foundation of education in America.
Whoever Controls the Schools Rules The World
It's been said that the philosophy of the classroom in this generation will be the philosophy of life in the next generation. Our earliest founding fathers understood this. But most Christians today have adopted the false premise that facts are neutral. They believe it doesn't matter who teaches math, science, and history, because facts are facts. The humanists took advantage of this type of thinking by gradually shaping and controlling education in terms of materialist assumptions.
Buy NowThe next step was to neutralize the impact that churches would have on politics. “Under the pretext that the Churches themselves were interfering in political and state matters, [the Nazis] would deprive the Churches, step by step, of all opportunity to affect German public life.” How often do we hear that the “separation between church and state” means that churches and Christians must remain silent on social and political issues, that pastors cannot use their pulpits (unless they’re liberal) to influence legislation? We saw this happen during the nomination hearings for Supreme Court Justice Amy Comey Barrett.
Sounds like old news, but it’s rearing its ugly head in the USA. “A recent Human Rights Campaign manifesto titled, ‘Blueprint for Positive Change’ — urges the incoming Biden administration to mandate compliance with their political agenda by stripping accreditation from religious colleges and universities that don’t meet ‘nondiscrimination policies and science-based curricula standards’ regarding sexual orientation and gender identity.”
Republican Rep. Brian Babin of Texas stated the following:
The Human Rights Campaign is not simply suggesting that Christian institutions comply with the left’s view of “nondiscrimination,” but rather it is forcing institutions to either abandon the tenants of their religious beliefs or face severe consequences. Haven’t we seen this play out in history before, such as the Soviet Revolution and Mao’s Cultural Revolution?”
Babin warned that if the Human Rights Campaign is successful in lobbying Democratic President-elect Joe Biden, Christian schools would “cease to exist” or be “bullied to bow down to the LGBT orthodoxy.” The same could apply to churches as well. The ultimate goal is to remove any ideology that is protected by the Constitution that serves as competition to any secular ideology.
Don’t ever say that it can’t happen here because it is happening here. It seems that more than 400 students and alumni at Liberty University don’t understand what’s happening. They want “the Falkirk Center for Faith and Liberty, a think tank founded last year by then-Liberty President Jerry Falwell Jr. and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk” shut down.
“The mission for the Church,” they contend, “is not to wage war on the ‘cultural battlefield,’ but to make disciples and to build one another up. We feel that the Falkirk Center’s statements present Liberty University as a school that is raising champions for culture, not champions for Christ,” the petition maintained.
Does this mean that being “champions for Christ” precludes engaging the culture? What kind of Christian education do they want? Why do these critics need or want a college education? Jesus doesn’t say anything about a college education in order to be a champion for Him.
Liberty University would cease to exist if it did not adopt the demands of the Human Rights Campaign manifesto if they became law. Who would fight for the right of the school to exist if Christians should not enter the “cultural battlefield”?
The petition goes on to say:
We at Liberty University believe that Christians have a higher calling than politics. We believe that our goal is to make disciples and encourage each other, building each other up. We feel that this is the exact opposite of what the Falkirk Center believes and is trying to accomplish.
The Falkirk Center is not all about politics. Politics is an aspect of a comprehensive biblical worldview. In some way or another politics affects every area of life. There is no way to avoid it. The Falkirk Center focused on the 2020 election because that was the pressing need at the time. I attended two Falkirk conferences. They were both Christ-centered.
These critics of Falkirk Center want “to further the kingdom of God.” What does this mean? The kingdom of God includes politics. These students and alumni will be confronted with politics one way or another.
There are those who were disturbed with Turning Point USA’s annual Student Action Summit conference that was held in West Palm Beach, Florida. That’s a legitimate concern, but that in itself does not nullify what the Falkirk Center is attempting to do. Leaving the battlefield because of what some of the soldiers do is not the answer.
