Apple pie... Chevrolet... NASCAR... Wal-Mart... The world's largest retail chain has become an integral part of American culture since its founding by Sam Walton in 1962. This beloved capitalist giant has kept prices low for consumers and provided hundreds of thousands of jobs for workers. So, despite what some socialists say, Wal-Mart is a good company.
With that said, however, American Vision received some disturbing news from our friends at the American Family Association (www.AFA.net) earlier this week. Apparently, Wal-Mart has donated $60,000 to Out & Equal—a homosexual organization promoting same-sex marriage in the workplace. Wal-Mart's donation went to help sponsor the Out & Equal Workplace Summit held in September of this year. Wal-Mart also placed a full-page ad in the Summit's program guide. The ad promotes diversity in general, but elevates sexual orientation to the status of race and religion. It ends with the words, "Wal-Mart is proud to support the 2006 Out & Equal Workplace Summit."

Can Wal-Mart thumb its nose at the Law of God and the massive Christian market in the United States and not feel the economic consequences? If you are a Bible-believing Christian and a patriotic American, you need to let your voice be heard. Sam Walton would never have stood for this and neither should you. That's why we're joining with the American Family Association in calling all Christians to boycott Wal-Mart and Sam's Club on the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving. Traditionally called "Black Friday," the Friday after Thanksgiving is one of the busiest shopping days of the whole year. In fact, it is called "Black Friday" because this day generates enough sales to push retailers out of the "red" and into the "black" for the year.
I know it will be tough, but Christians can live for two days without going to Wal-Mart or Sam's Club. Please visit the American Family Association's web site to sign a petition warning Wal-Mart and Sam's Club that their $60,000 donation to this twisted and degenerate lifestyle is going to cost them millions.
