Many of our readers and concerned Christians may have thought the atheist Sam Harris had finally faded out of public consciousness. In a sense this is true, for he now tends to write and speak only in elitist venues these days, aside from one or two episodes. Out of sight, out of mind as far as I’m concerned. But the things he said recently at a very high-profile speaking engagement convinced me that while he is indeed largely out of the mainstream line of sight, he is also indeed out of his mind in a way that should concern us all.
