‘Seven Days in Utopia’ Movie Review

Movieology: Seven Days in Utopia

‘Seven Days in Utopia’ is played to be a golfer’s journey into the heart and soul of the game. Golfing can be fun (so they say) and this film wants to show us how it reflects the game of life. Utopia is not an imaginary place, but a part of our world that few people — let alone sports enthusiasts — ever get to experience. Robert Duvall plays an astute retired golfer that can teach the young and misled golfer wannabe a thing or two about life. So does this work? Or are we left wishing we had instead gone to see ‘The Lion King’ in 3D? Find out now on Movieology!

A Pre-Election-Day Message

Election Day Sermon

For decades pastors have been timid about preaching politics from the pulpit. The Old Testament prophets would have been stunned by such timidity. A good many modern-day churches believe that they have some very good biblical reasons for not touching on the subject of politics from the pulpit. Many believe they are prohibited from doing [...]

Justified Constitutional Anger on the Right

Tea Party Signs

On April 5, 1968 three high school friends of mine and I drove into downtown Pittsburgh to register for the draft. It was our 18th birthday. In those days, you were given the day off to go through the registration process. The Vietnam War was in full swing. Woodstock was a year away. Campus unrest was in full swing, and the Kent State shootings would put an end to them in May 1970.

Can I be a Libertarian Without Christ?

I must start this article with acknowledgments. I took Part 1n the forming of the Libertarian movement in my native country, Bulgaria. I was co-founder and the first Chairman of the Bulgarian Society for Individual Liberty. As such I have many friends who are libertarian but not Protestant – or not Christian at all. I have the privilege of being close friends with many great people unknown to the American public, but whose names will remain as the pioneers of liberty in that small nation on the Balkans. I have agnostic and atheist friends all over Europe who are committed to the cause of liberty as much as I am; and they have consistently fought under its banner for many years.

Homeschoolers Are Only Good For Cleaning Toilets

The title for today’s article is taken from a response to one of American Vision’s daily articles. The respondent is an atheist who claims he can refute any argument raised in defense of the Christian faith. I have irritated him so much by answering his poorly researched responses he sends to me that his true [...]
