Christopher Hitchens is dying of cancer and has declared that if there is a deathbed conversion, it won’t be be him talking but the disease. Hitchens is very critical of Christianity and religion, and has gone on record many times with rather harsh words for both. Is this the real Hitchens? Or, is all of this merely an act?

LOUISE
I was called an atheist once by my own mother, after I stopped believing that God was an old white man sitting on a throne in heaven a physical understanding of God. God became to me then a presence, power, and force which is a scientific understanding. Now I am a spiritual practitioner with an understanding of going being an inner source. I am beginning the second year of interfaith ministry. It is a beautiful journey, just believe that you all are on that journey too.
Not accepting a physical God DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE AN ATHIEST. iF GOD IS NOT WITHIN YOU YOU ARE DEAD.
ENJOY THE KNOWLEDGE, WISH I COULD SHARE MORE.
What's the deal with American Vision? They see the truth and are not afraid to speak it, something you atheists are totally incapable of. The Lord is my God because, among other reasons, His Word is reliable, consistent and accounts for all things, including unbelief. I am not a new Christian. I recognized the idiocy and flawed thinking of atheism, naturalism, evolution, etc. from a young age, only I was sometimes too timid to stand up for the truth or I didn't want to admit the truth because of what it would mean in my life, mean to the pleasures of this world. My God is the Lord of the sick and the bullied, and the basis for all reason, apart from whom no logic is possible.
What? I thought we were just making bold declarations?
Why on earth would someone be afraid to print what you have written? You are seriously overestimating the strength of your point, whatever that was. For crying out loud, ministries like American Vision print and sell products directly engaging with people such as Hitchens himself – one is even co-authored by him! Have you read any? Why would they be concerned about a some random comment by one of his supporters?
Listen, you can believe in whatever you want, but you need to bring more to the table than this. Tell people why you are an atheist, what arguments you've encountered that lead you to believe so strongly that you are right and that Christianity is wrong. Expose your beliefs to criticism and discussion. The Bible and Christianity in general has withstood thousands of years of criticism and scrutiny. You may feel that you are being bullied from all sides, but the truth of the matter is that the tiniest fraction of atheists have been martyred compared to the number of Christians killed for their beliefs. Disregarding the totally unbalanced reporting by the media, it is the minority atheist way of life that is forced on people right and left. I'm the one that is told to keep my beliefs to Sundays and the home. People are already being punished for not doing so in much of Europe and we are only a handful of years behind them. I'm the one who is told that my children must not only learn about magical molecules-to-man evolution but even affirm it in exams or fail the course. The list could go on and on. And what might you be asked to do? Walk by and ignore a list of the Ten Commandments somewhere, or some other such thing?
Next time set aside the rhetoric and show me why I grew up wrong and you did not. First though, you need to account for your ability to reason at all. Personally, I cannot see any way to do that apart from the God of the Bible. What other source of such things do you propose?
What's the deal with Hitchens? He sees the truth and isn't afraid to speak it, something you people are so completely incapable of. That man is MY god in that he has the balls to say what we've all been thinking for years. I am not a new atheist. I saw through the bs when I was a child as he did, only I didn't have the guts to buck the system. He represents us, the people who are sick of being bullied when we attempt to think critically and if you can't print this, you are complete cowards.
Its a good thing Christopher is probably on hefty doses of nausea medicine. I wonder if he's up to sharing . This is the most nauseating few minutes I've ever experienced.
