Dr. Gary North, personal eyewitness to the development of the conservative movement throughout 1950-2010, an expert economist, highlights the behind-the-scenes events of the conservative movement from an insiders’ perspective. The publication of the The Freeman and National Review established the conservative movement throughout the last half of the 20th century, but the key conservative figure was Bishop Sheen—the Glenn Beck of his day. This catholic bishop had greater impact than Mr. Television. Sheen led the general moral majority, that America lacks today….
In this video, Gary DeMar interviews Dr. North (in six parts) about his brand new DVD series “The History of the Conservative Movement” (available now at AmericanVision.com). This is part three of the six parts of this interview.

If there is no God than nothing is. If you were on a space ship knowing what you know now and you arrived at a planet devoid of all life what would you think? Now what if you found a computer on the planet knowing what you know now you would have two conclusions to decide on. one who made it, or who put it there? now seeing how perfect our earth is you have only two answers. who made this or who put this planet here. both of these are correct. God either made it or put it here. any other answer is a debatable answer with no possible undebateable or proveable answear. so as far as I am concerned what God gave us and revealed in the old and new testament is true. likewise the founding fathers gave us a country that God has blessed and if we continue to deny God He will surely punish us for not following his laws that our founding farthers asked for His guide to the truth and we got the constitution which if we destroy it God will destroy everything and our end times will be at hand.
The false dichotomy that censors the discussion at the crucial point of understanding is our problem in America –and the West today. We need to retake responsibility & insist on freedom offensively (rather than reacting in fear & assuming an automatically defensive position) –freedom of speech –including educational choice & a free media & religion are key. Parschal & LeHaye may be wrong on many theological points (and Glenn Beck, certainly) —but the subtle shift from freedom of religion to freedom of worship/ Shariah style protective approaches of closed darkness & fear — is an important warning sign of a battle-line that we ignore to the peril of Christian liberty.
It's so revealing and faith bolstering to biblical Christians to witness how all moral approaches —cut loose from the underpinning ideas that lead one right back to the most fundamental assumption of all: pro- or anti-God & Truth —rooted in man's reason, strength & imagination alone —-leads to ridiculous, irrational, arbitrary rules & protective overkill! Tracing back thru time to the Stoics, Pharisees, etc.
