Five Truths that Liberals Hate

1.   You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2.   What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3.   The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4.   When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

5.   You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

If you enjoyed this list you will probably enjoy Joel McDurmon’s “Five Truths that Republicans Hate.”

    Michelle, above,

"The Lord helps those who help themselves" is not Scriptural. Do some of your own research on who said it!

  2. This is the wine you've saved for last? Politics? You savor not the things of God, but the things of men.

Mr. Demar makes much the same economic error as Karl Marx when he assumes that mere labour is the most important factor in production in a modern economy. The machine tenders in a modern factory producing shoes average dozens? hundreds? of pairs per day with far less effort than a cobbler two centuries back who was lucky to produce a couple of pairs a day. Most of this increased productivity is tied to accumulation of Technique- the skills/knowledge required to produce and do useful things. Most of that accumulated Technique is free for the reading and NOT an item of legitimate Private Property. Sooooo, since it is already obvious that the machine tender in that shoe plant is not going to get every penny of the value of his daily output just why must ALL of the excess be reserved for Managers, land/resource holders and owners of capital when so much production is dependent upon Technique which all of us have a more or less equal claim upon as members of society?

In response to Steve above … you miss the point.

Jesus, our Lord and Savior, advocated that we each help each other. He did NOT advocate that the government take from one to give to the other. He did not advocate that we be FORCED by the government to give up the hard-earned recompense for our own work for the government to decide how to redistribute it.

Jesus also advocated a simple premise: The Lord helps those who help themselves. This premise reflects SELF-RESPONSIBILITY, a concept that has been lost on our country for many, many years. Unfortunately, this concept has now been destroyed at the highest levels by the socialist progressives now holding the yoke.

I have earned my own way for over 40 years, paid taxes as required, and have helped my fellow man to the extent of my abilities (both physical and economic).

It is NOT up to the government, nor up to those who have placed themselves above all others (under the guise of being more ‘socially conscious’) to tell me how to live my life.

  5. I believe Mr. DeMar and many political pundits and commentators are correct that the Obama Administration would take this Country into a Socialist Abyss, however there is substantial evidence that EVERY President at least in the modern era and arguably further back have been involved in a move to divide the United States to further implement their plans for a New World Order.

President George Herbert Walker Bush coin the phrase in his 11 September 1991 speech and was quickly symied from using the phrase until it has resurfaced through the likes of Henry Kissinger and David Rockfeller. President Bill Clinton signed the NAFTA Agreement in 1998 and since then more than 3 million manufacturing jobs and 7 million textile jobs have been sent overseas. President George W. Bush after “stealing” the election of 2000, claimed to want to “heal” the Nation and started a Global conflict where he and Vice President Richard Cheney profited off the backs of thousands of Our Military Servicement and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and Afghans.

President Barack Obama was nurtured under the tutelage of Henry Kissinger and weaned on the teachings of Saul Alinsky. Is it any wonder that he has ties to Rod Blagojevich, Tony Resko, and Jeremiah Wright to name just a few? My fellow Americans, PLEASE WAKE UP to the truth of what is happening to Our Great Nation! Our Federal Government has been Hijacked by Global Elitists in the Federal Reserve and their fellow travellers on Wall Street. Our Legislative Branch is controlled by Socialists who serve the interests of Unions and other Special Interest Lobbyists. Our Education System has been taken over by Social Engineers who would rewrite history and poison the minds of Millions of children for Generations to come.

The Democratic and Republican paradigm is a smoke screen to DIVIDE Us as a Country. The Founding Fathers invisioned One Nation Under GOD Indivisible with Libery and JUSTICE for ALL.

  6. Confound it DeMar I warned you in the Virginia Ratifying Convention that this very thing was going to happen if you people adopted that hair-brained Constitution that those incorrigible Federalists dreamed up. Likable fellow, that Madison chap, but it was nigh unto impossible to get him to listen to anything related to common sense.

I guess you didn’t get it the first time so I’ll say it again. “In this scheme of energetic government, the people will find two sets of tax-gatherers — the state and the federal sheriffs. This, it seems to me, will produce such dreadful oppression as the people cannot possibly bear….Your rich, snug, fine, fat federal officers — the number of collectors of taxes and excises — will outnumber anything from the states, Who can cope with the excise men and the taxmen?” Those were my exact words. DeMar — did you get it?!? I’m not one to say ‘I told you so”, but ding-nab it ‘I told you so.”

Come on DeMar, are you people ever gonna wake up. How long has it been now since the Convention? 234 years! Goodness how time does fly.

That’s not all I said, either. I said, “Before the meting of the late Federal Convention at Philadelphia, a general peace, and an universal tranquility prevailed in this country, and the minds of our citizens were at perfect repose; but since that period they are exceedingly uneasy and disquieted….I conceive the republic to be in extreme danger….It arises from this fatal system….a proposal to change our government ….This proposal of altering our federal government is of a most alarming nature…you ought to be extremely cautious, watchful, jealous of your liberty; for instead of securing your rights, you may lose them forever….That this is a consolidated government is demonstrably clear; and the danger of such a government is, to my mind, very striking…”

You weren’t payin’ attention that day at the Virginia Ratifying Convention were you DeMar? I saw you noddin’ off in the back row there. Or was that your great-great-great granddaddy — He was a little slow on the uptake too.

DeMar, I think you need to spend a little time over on that America Betrayed website: http://www.america-betrayed-1787.com/antifederalists.html. They got it pretty well nailed down over there. One of them fellers even took the time to print up all of my speeches at the Virginia Ratifying Convention. That was mighty neighborly of them.

But what good does it do if you people don’t read ‘em!! So get your self over there and read ‘em and this time pay attention, DeMar. Ya know I wouldn’t even bother with it If I didn’t think there was some hope for ya, DeMar. But don’t push your luck — I want to see you making some visible progress real quick like.

    Yours Cordially,

    Patrick Henry
    Anti-Federalist & Patriot

PS: I’ll have to admit this internet contraption you people have jerry-rigged up is mighty handy. If I’d of had it in my day old Jim-Bob Madison never would have out-organized me at the Virginia Ratifying Convention. No Sireee. I’d have won and you people wouldn’t have been saddled with that ti-ranical Federalist Constitution all these years. Oh well.

  7. Skycruiser says:

Yes, vote out the democrats and the rinos as well. Far too many republicans are no different then the democrats. But, we can't wait until November – the time is NOW. First fillibuster Kagan- absolutely necessary – then impeach Obama and charge him with treason. He vowed to uphold the constitution and he has broken that vow over and over and over. What he has done to Arizona is treason. He, himself is illegal, an unconstitutional president. Congress must remove him NOW. Then let the goofball stepping into his job know he has until November to reverse the healthcare bill that's unconstitutional, stop capntrade, rescind the nonsense Obama told NASA, and LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE. if he wants to do anything in government again.
We must take to the streets, march to Washington – I'll need a walker or a wheelchair, but I'll go. Nothing illegal. No rioting. No violence. Just go, WE THE PEOPLE, go and make sure OUR EMPLOYEES – congress – do their job and remove the man according to our , OUR, constitution. That piece of paper that says WE give the orders.

  8. Randy says:

A TRUE liberal believes that anyone who is UNWILLING to work should NOT receive a handout.

  9. Paul says:

Repeal the law " if you are born in the United States, you are automatically a citizen." The United States of America is NOT my brother's keeper. God Bless America.

  10. Paul says:

The law of the United States of America and the state of Arizona are NOT racial discrimation. The race has been identified. The illegal people have to be identified. Law enforcement have to ask one question. May I see your social security card? The illegals pay no taxes yet they have the benefits of law enforcement, fire protection, medical care, armed forces, use of parks and highways, paid for by others. Any money sent across the border never comes back. It is like throwing it away, lowering the value of the American dollar. They are never counted in American censuses for distribution of tax dollars, burdening communities and states. Let's get 'er done. GOD BLESS AMERICA

  11. AL DUHAN says:

A quick preview. The country was screaming hatred remarks about Bush and the wars. Yet there double the killing of American armed forces and our Alia forces. The cost is screaming high, He fires a 4 star general because the general told the truth and Obama thought that he knew more then our generals. But to make it short, If he doesn't listen to Petraeus then Obama will certainly be our ( betray us ). There is no way a retard Kenyan can run an American War. Americans wake up and get him out in any way possible. We need to save our country. Al

  12. KJQ says:

If a man will not work, neither shall he eat. 1 Th 3:10

If you properly exegete this verse and the chapter it is in, you pretty much rule out most socialist ideas and practices.

  13. Dean von Germeten says:

It sounds to me like Gary Demar has a problem with poor people and a love affair with rich people, which is the exact opposite of Jesus who he claims to've studied in Christian college. Further I've yet to find preaching (makin' money wif ma mouf') not unakin to modern-day "rappers" and a far cry from work, unless you consider corrosive, calculated rhetoric as defining the Word. He also loves to bang the drum of class warfare, maybe he's found that the rich give more at the collection plate? And after all, what middle-class we have left, all secretly long to be …bankers.

But IF "The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else" (a point over which I vociferously disagree), then you better dig deep into your pockets to compensate all the native American and African slave ancestors with reparations, because you cannot just regauge when it suits your WASP fancy.

The rich have a problem in that they deeply resent any free dollar that misses their own pocket for some poor person. By a poor person having anything, the rich person feels commensurately robbed; but that's a mere psychological condition of infantile ego (also known as tantrum) on the rich person's part. Clearly s/he is not hurting, but feels that dollars are the necessary tool for keeping score who is BETTER THAN the next person. Maybe that's why they call the poor "useless eaters." But at least we know which side of the spiritual divide Gary Demarr is on, and it ain't the Master. Remember Revelations, where it said a great delusion would deceive many, "even the elect." Gary would have you believe the great delusion is socialism (a mix of government policies that help
the hungry and homeless) where I would assert it's a justification of selfishness. Shame on you Gary. May God reward your twisting his message with the full wrath He reserves for all false prophets!

    • Tell me, Dean, how are Americans alive today responsible for what happened to the native Americans who are no longer alive? Why should I and my parents be responsible when they immigrated to America after the atrocities against the natives actually happened?

I'd also like to know how the government can give to another without first taking it from somebody else. It is either through direct taxation or through inflation by printing money. By printing money the government in effect makes what you currently have in money worth less. It steals the buying power of your earnings.

    • This is by far the best comment on here, Dean. Excellently said. Time and time again, I encounter "religious" people who favor the wealthy, would rather help the rich than the poor, and attempt to use the Bible in some sick, twisted fashion to make those of us who do honestly care for the poor and needy feel bad.

His points are generalizations, and his ideology represents a stereotypical, religious-right brain that cannot actually use logic, reason, and compassion to help those in our society who need it the most.

    • Leona says:

Actually The. 10:3 says it best, however I can't help but question how you can view a factual statement and "vociferously disagree" with it. Where do you think that money comes from- do they harvest it off trees? To my knowledge, the quote says "The state cannot get a cent for any man without taking it from some other man, and this latter must be a man who has produced and saved it. This latter is the Forgotten Man"
      William Graham Sumner
If the government confiscates my earnings to distribute to those who choose not to work, it certainly interferes with God's plan – he did, after all, "gift" us with free will. Therefore, it must be our choice to share – not the choice of anyone else. You can be "too rich" and you can be "too thin", and each of us is championed with the choices we make regarding God's blessings. Obviously you have not learned that people don't fit into neat little boxes – being rich does not make one evil and being poor does not bestow sainthood.
Pray incessantly and listen for His reply, for only through Him will the true message be known.

  14. okar says:

I think you'll find that a lot of democrats hate the five examples given to republicans just as there are republicans that hate the five examples given to democrats. I think these 10 examples would apply in certain conditions but not all. So I would say these are bogus examples that people are trying to put out there to create hate between the two parties. This should not be done. Our two party system has worked well since our beginning with checks and balances that has kept this country strong. People who try to cause friction are probably communist and don't like the two party system. The independent party is gaining strength and we might have a three party system at some time in the future. Some people are like me, who like some of the policies of both parties, but not all.

  15. p r barriball says:

    Two quotes to consider:
    - Lawlessness and distorted truth triumphs when political expediency becomes the decision maker

    - When the power of political payback becomes the leading driver in moving legislation we have reached a crisis point in our system of governance – collapse and failure are imminent
