American Vision’s (AV’s) mission has been to Restore America to its Biblical Foundation—from Genesis to Revelation since 1978. We realize that this task requires a strategy to “Make disciples (not just converts) of all nations and teach them to obey and apply the Bible to all of life” (Matt. 28:18-20). Read More About Us »

A Higher Education Revolution
The United States of Americawas founded on biblical principles—but the current statist education system inAmerica was not. Those who have researched the public school model have found that it is a severe deviation from the biblical model of education pursued by America ’s Founding Fathers and those who went before them.
To put into perspective the difference between the current system and that enjoyed centuries before, consider these facts: some of the greatest minds in the nation’s history never attended high school, never received letter grades for their school work and hardly ever read a textbook. Thomas Jefferson graduated from college at age 16, and Alexander Hamilton was 18 at his graduation. Other Founding Fathers have similar higher education stories.
The history of the American high school only goes back about a hundred years or so. An experiment called the “Gary schools” in Indiana introduced the concept of grade segregation, letter grades for assignments, and a move away from the school as a center of education to one of social instruction. This system caught hold in the US and we now have a system of education that doesn’t teach students how to think but what they should think and how they should view the world around them.
Yet more and more Americans are standing up to the state-run schools that have guided the thinking of the next generation far too long. At the forefront of this revolution in education is CollegePlus!, an organization that coaches motivated students on their life direction and shows them how to sidestep the college campus to complete their bachelor’s degrees at a fraction of the time and cost of the traditional system.
CollegePlus! is revolutionary only in the sense that it encourages students to take ownership of their education just like the Founding Fathers did centuries ago. Instead of spending excessive time on campus listening to lectures from humanistic professors, CollegePlus! students study on their own and take recognized exams to earn credit. These exams cost about $80 and are worth between 3 and 12 credits. This “credit by exam” system, as it’s called in academia, helps students save considerably on their degree costs and avoid anti-biblical philosophies on the college campus. In fact, many students have abandoned brick and mortar campuses to pursue their fully accredited degrees through the guidance of CollegePlus!
For students still in high school, CollegePlus! offers them to learn the way the Founding Fathers did—by combining their high school and college studies. It’s a fact admitted by universities today that the first two years of college are little more than a review of high school anyway. CollegePlus! students maximize their high school training by getting college credit for their courses in subjects like Algebra, US History, and Biology, just to name a few. Additionally, worldview sensitive subjects, like history and science are supplemented with resources from biblically-sound Christian leaders like Doug Phillips, Jeff Myers, and Gary DeMar, among others.
It’s time that Christian families took a stand against the education system that has purposefully poisoned the minds of our nation’s future leaders. Take the first step by checking out CollegePlus! for yourself or your children.
