A Liberal’s Idea of a Simplified Tax Code

President Obama is proposing a simplification of the tax code. We’ve heard this before. As it now stands, the tax code consists of 60,000 pages and 3.7 million words. If the IRS wants to get you, it can easily find a way given so many rules. So what should we expect from a modified and “simplified” tax code created by liberals? It will consist of a single sheet of paper with the following words:

Send us all your money, and the government will send you a check in return of an amount that we think you should have to live on. Have a nice day.
