Government has no business in the church, but God should always be involved the the government! Just as Jimmy has pointed out that the Kings and Prophets from the Old Testament had government positions,(this isn't to say that religous leaders held government positions, but that the person in the leadership position was a Godly person …there is a difference) the difference is that they were Godly kings! You are also correct that God never changes, but just look at our government and all the changes there. They are more and more immoral and this immorality is being seen in society. Cyndy, may I suggest you change your search; instead of searching for a catholic church that meets the desires of your heart, why not try to find a church (Bible (whole Bible) believing, Bible preaching church), where you can fill a need in the church. It is absolutely amazing the way God will work in you and in your life if you only go about living your life in service and obedience to His Word! I will pray that you find what it is you need! i agree that pelosi, reed and our elected ( by deceit , conceit, stupidityand blindness) "president" should be IMPEACHED and thrown out of office, and send obama back to his birthplace, Kenja, . then and only then can we get our nation back from the grasp of the Devil.

The american voters were clearly decieved by this administration.I like to call them the big 3 with their anti-american Socialist ways of pure evil,hate for americans,hate for the beliefs of this great Country & its ways.They hate & have no Regard for our great US Constitution that has kept this Country together & United. They have pushed healthcare reform down our throughts,at same time not respecting any Republicans what so ever.They have created CZARS without any approval of the US Congress.Their Agendas are of DARKNESS,which is of Satan,they dont see or care to see or know the LIGHT of the Way.They are all doomed to Sheodes,as it awaits them.I have never seen a political party act & behave like these anti-american leaders we now have in Office.Its time we VOTE them all out of Office ASAP.I personally believe they all need to be IMPEACHED.May the good “LORD” continue to bless this Nation.
Check out II Chron. 19, where Jehosaphat appointed judges over the cities of Judah (V5), admonished them to judge "for the Lord" (V6), reminded them that "there is neither injustice, partiality, or taking of bribes with the Lord our God". (V7), set Levites, priests, and heads of families to give judgment for the Lord, and decide controversies (V8), charged them to do this "in the fear of the Lord, faithfully, with a blameless heart." (V9), and placed Amariah the chief priest over them "in all matters of the Lord and Zebadiah…in all the king's matters." (V11). Presto, separation of church and state!
As a practical application of the principle of separation chapter 20:3-18 records Jehosaphat's resorting to prayer and godly council in matters of state, and acknowledging the Lord for the answer.
It's unthinkable to me that the Founders would not have known about and understood this principle, for though I'm unable to document its discussion among them, the government they gave us certainly reflects it.
Let there be no doubt – Pelosi has submitted us to yet another recipe for disaster. Wake up America OBAMA/Reid/Pelosi = One Big A.. Mistake America!!!!!

Pelosi is an idiot and shows everytime she opens her mouth. If she believes so deeply about the redistribution of wealth she can donate her income toward healthcare. Her husband has received a number of benefits since she has become Speaker of the House. I had to work for my money and not just marry some wealthy person.
Sounds good to me. That's more than the Democrats allow. They don't listen to anyone except other Democrats. This is the United States of America. It belongs to the people not the politians.
Wow. This is what I've been saying for years now–take a stand. Speak up. This is why I left the Catholic Church. When I asked a previous pastor why we prayed for those "caught in the crossfires of war" but not for the souls of all the aborted babies, he told me that it wasn't that important an issue. That I should pray for them in my own private prayers. At the time, opposing the war was a popular liberal pasttime but no one was protesting the killing of unborn babies. I left that church and tried two other Catholic churches but it's standard practice now for clery to sit on the fence. I'm still searching for a religion that stands for something.

Hi Cindy, i was raised cathlic , but know nothing about the truth in Gods work, please dont look for religion , seek out the truth of Gods work in a Christian church–chrisianity is about your relationship with Jesus, religion is about man on how to use gods words to fit there needs—seek out Jesus, watch out for the cults like mormons and JW's, also false christains–play it safe til you get on your feet about Gods wprd–seek Calvary Chapels–Chuck Smith, non-denomiational, Assembies of God,, but before all this pray and ask the Lord where He wants you to be to use you and your gifts that He has givinin you, also stay away from church of christ and church of god these also are bad doctrines- un-biblcal teaching

You have raised a very good point. GO TO THE BIBLE FOR TRUTH. Jesus said HE was the Way, the Truth and the Light. The Bible is divided into two parts, the Old and New Testaments. In the New Testament there are several divisions. There is the Gospels which are Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. They are te life and teachings of Jesus. Then there is the book of acts which is rightly The Acts oif the Apostoles. This is the book that gives the Teachings of the Apostoles and the actual plan of Salvation Then you have the Gospels or the Opissles.
They go from Romans to Jude. These are letters written by the Apostoles to different churches or Pastors of Churches telling born again Beleivers how to STAY saved once they are saved, Then there is the bood of Revalations or better known as the Revolation of Jesus Christ. This is the book that tells what is going to happen at the end of this age or dispensation of time.
