An emphatic NO!!
As long as you have People, you have an agenda, a worldview! People want to say we have no religion in our public schools; they're WRONG. We have secular humanism which is a religion, just check out the Humanist Manifesto I and II. With it goes Evolution, Godlessness, the "Survival of the Fittest" and all the rest of the "isms" of our day.
Our founding fathers realized this and so put in the Bible and the New England Primer. It wasn't until such people as John Dewey, and others who wanted "free thinking", anything but "religion" that we got the religion we have today – Secular Humanism.
